Have a Question?

01

"How often do I need to torque my lug nuts?"

After 50 miles, you need to check your lug nuts and torque them to the right specs.
02

"How should I load my trailer?"

Keeping your trailer load properly distributed is very important. Always load heavier towards the tongue. At least 60% of your payload must be forward of the trailer center, with lighter items on the top and rear. Secure everything with proper tie downs.
03

"What kind of warranty do Lamar trailers come with?"

We have a three-year frame warranty and a one-year component warranty. Tire warranty is handled by our tire manufacturer; check the sticker on the front of your trailer for contact information.
04

"What is the payload on Lamar Trailers?"

We have all our weights and payloads listed. Check out individual products here on our website to see details on the trailer you're interested in.
05

"I'm having trouble with my trailer! What should I do?"

Warranty claims are handled through our dealers. They are able to look at any issues firsthand and have them fixed in-house or outsourced by local reputable businesses. Bring your trailer into your local Lamar dealer. If this is not an option, you can email us directly with your VIN, pictures, and a description of the issue at warranty@lamartrailers.com. Any unauthorized work will not be reimbursed.
06

"What is causing my trailer's tire wear?"

Tire wear should be checked frequently. Once a tire wear pattern is established, stopping becomes difficult, even when the underlying cause is corrected. Tire pressure should always be in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended pressure rating for any given load.
1. Always check tire pressure cold before operation.
2. Do not bleed air from tires when they are hot.
07

"I scratched my trailer, where can I get touch up paint?"

Our charcoal gray color is a close match to the Rustoleum Gloss Charcoal rattle can available at most hardware stores.
08

"My hydraulic reservoir is flooding; how can I fix it?"

Typically, an overflowing reservoir is caused by a low battery.
On a low battery, the cylinder will push air instead of fluid into the cylinder, causing the fluid to be pushed out into the reservoir.
Charge the battery on your dump or tilt trailer or replace it and cycle the dump up and down to see if the oil will go down.
09

"Where is my trailer VIN on my Lamar Trailer?"

Your VIN sticker is usually located on the inside of your trailer tongue.
10

"How do I grease my trailers axles?"

If your trailer has grease axles, we recommend re-greasing them once a year or every 12,000–36,000 miles. Jack up the trailer, remove the hub grommet, and use a manual grease gun on the grease zerk (pneumatic guns can damage seals). Slowly spin the wheel while adding grease until new grease appears, then stop. Wipe off the excess, replace the grommet, and repeat on all axles.
11

"What hydraulic fluid do I need for my trailer's hydraulic pump?"

If you are looking to fill up or replace the hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic pump on your Lamar trailer, you should replace it with AW-32.
You can find AW-32 Fluid at any local trailer dealership, Home Depot, Lowes, or local parts stores like Advanced Auto Parts, O'Reillys, or Auto Zone.
